Kit: HGFC G Gundam
Before I get into the gallery pictures I thought I would detail the last few, well, details that I put on this little beauty.
I used the parts of the outline of the foil stickers to fill hollows in the head and also the shoulders.
Frame: Gun Metal
Yellow: Tamiya Chrome Yellow
Red: Mr. Hobby Red
Blue: Mr. Hobby Blue
White: Mr. Hobby Gray #9
Top-coated with Mr. Hobby Super Clear Flat
Aftermarket parts: Kotobukiya Duct Nozzle II
Onto the pics!
I tried to get a good close-up up the head here to show the panel line work as well as the final look of the V-fins.
And here's me trying to replicate that famous pose found in the instruction booklet... several attempts ;)
Here you can see the aftermarket vents/nozzles after painting.
In this shot you can see the aftermarket vent/nozzle I put in the shoulder, the job I did filling in the underside of the claws and the hollows on the red 'wing' which I also filled in. You also will not see the male/female connector on the underside of the armour which I successfully hid under a small piece of plastic.

Outstanding. Another triumph. Incredibly clean and precise considering the scale. Very impressive GaiGun. Those pics are wonderful too. They should use this on the HLJ listing!
ReplyDeleteLike the update to your layout as well =)
Outstanding work. Is your first HG kit and you already build them like a pro. Good job man! And like I said before, you are made this look like a G.F.F. toy figure.
ReplyDeleteSo are you hooked working on HGs like me? haha
this is solid. very solid. for your first hg i am very impressed. nice layout change too. you're following in asm, G.G. and my footsteps now and going for the reverse dark/light theme eh. well you know we're all partial to it.
ReplyDeletewell.........great job was done to this gundam. BTW, ur blog turns totally all blacks :)
ReplyDeletedamn nice work sir! those mr. hobby colors really pop and the decals are a welcome addition. nice thinking using the V Gundam decals, I will shamelessly say that if I ever build the HG God Gundam I will follow the same path as you.
ReplyDelete@Tonzo: Thanks! I surprised myself with the outcome. Luckily my mods didn't backfire.
ReplyDelete@G.G.: I don't know if I am hooked on HG now, but another door has been opened to me. ;)
@Buster: I didn't realize you guys were changing your layouts until after I changed mine. It's true, really.
@mangyver5223: Black is the new Black when it comes to gunpla blogs.
@lupes: thanks, friend. I may have to pick up another set of V Gundam waterslides just to keep around for HG kits.
