I am all over the place with this build. I will be in the middle of a section of this kit only to stop, think about something else, put down what I am doing and pick up another section and start on it. I have been building one section, modding another, masking a different portion, and painting still others. I haven't built like this before but it is kind of fun to see where my imagination takes me.
For example, here is what I have been working on the last couple of days:
Removing the flash and seam lines to the shield and gun and painting in Mica Silver. Looks really nice too, if I do say so myself.
Here is where I had to insert .25 mm pla plate to make the foot fit snugly together.
And here are the leg extensions. I don't know if cement alone will hold them together and I have a feeling I will be puttying.
And I have added 1 mm pla plate to the seam of the head to 'volume up' it's appearance.
There are still more mods to be done to the head and I am still fighting with the torso as well as pondering what to do with the legs. I haven't touched the skirt yet but I probably will be able to finish the shield and weapons this weekend (panel lining aside).
Keep up the good work. I like reading your updates for the Hi-Nu Gundam. I am eager to see the finished product.
ReplyDeleteMy co-worker nearby said "tell him Good work!" (Ray says he just can't take the time, he just snaps his Gundam together). I was amazed, I'd never seen them 'til you sent the blog, and here Ray has them. (Then again, he's Joel's age) ;)
