RX-78-2 Ver KA Gallery

I took this guy home last weekend and did some panel lining. There is not much in the way of articulation from a kit released in 2002, so its ability to pose is minimal. Feels good to finally get him in front of the camera so I know that he is considered officially finished.

  4. Hi Gaijin Gunpla,

I really love all your works ! Great Job!. Just wondering, what type of top coat did you used to proctec the paint? Was it clear/gloss or semi-gloss (especilly for shin musha as the silver looks really nice!)?
    Thanks.

  5. Thanks to everyone for the comments.

@Asian1skill: I thought that the Ver Ka looked the best too. It look sturdier and meaner. However, after building two of the Ver 2.0 (rx-78-2 and rx-78-3) I have grown to like that design a lot more. Except the feet. They are too small for me, but Bandai did it so that it fit in the G-Fighter/Armor

@kojak: I try not to overdue panel lines. If you go overboard you get the opposite effect.

@mangyver5223: If you don't plan on doing any painting then the silver coating versions might be something you would like. However, the price difference is considerable so you really have to want a shiny gundam to pay that much.

@freedom: Thanks for the compliment! I am honored. I use Gunze (mr. hobby) Super Clear Gloss and Flat topcoats. The Shin Musha silver is Tamiya Silver Leaf with the Super Clear Gloss coat over top.
